Update 1.1.4: Logs and a new interface

Orbit Team

Update 1.1.4 brings a whole new interface on PC and mobile and the first Log book with permanent stats for your pilot. It also adds referrals inside the game, a marketplace storage at each of your bases, a rework of lifeskills and a long list of combat improvements.

New: Interface

  • A new look on PC and mobile: redesigned windows, menus, HUD, loading screens and main menu.

New: Logs

Logs unlock when you complete The Warden's Fall, the last mission of the story. Open them from the menu and you will find your library, with the first book on the shelf: the Vanguard Log (Book I). Until then the library stays sealed and shows the mission you still need.

The Logs library with the Vanguard Log
  • The book has 20 pages, one mission each, and you complete them in order. Every page stays sealed until you claim the one before it.
  • All the objectives of a page count at the same time, in any order. Claim the page and the next one opens.
  • Missions mix alien hunting, bosses, mining and salvage, PvP, one mission in enemy territory and two World Boss missions (Kristhar and Umbros). World Boss objectives only count if the boss actually dies and you took part in the fight.
  • Your active page also shows in the mission tracker, so you can follow it while you play.
A Vanguard Log page ready to claim

What the whole book gives you:

  • Permanent stats: +2 AP, +2 DP, +10,000 HP and +10 lt cargo. They are per pilot and apply to all your ships and configurations.
  • Marketplace Storage +1 on the first page and +2 Inventory Slots later in the book.
  • More than 5.8 million XP and 30 million credits in total.

The milestones at pages 5, 10, 15 and 20 are shown in the library. The rest is for you to find out.

The Vanguard Log is only the first book. More Logs will arrive in future updates and fill the rest of the library shelves, each with its own pages and rewards. What they hold will be revealed as you unlock them.

New: Referrals inside the game

The referral program now lives in the game, on PC and mobile. Open Referrals from the menu (under Friends on PC).

The Referrals window
  • Your code and invite link are right there. Copy them with one click, or use Share on mobile to send the link with any app.
  • New pilots who sign up with your link join you automatically. If someone invited you, you can enter their code too.
  • Both tiers are visible with your progress: Active Pilots (level 15 and 3 h played) and Supporters (level 25 and 1,000 Qcoin spent).
  • Claim sends the reward straight to your pilot's mail. Claim all does it in one go.
  • The Spending Bonus keeps running: 50 Cron Stones for every 1,000 Qcoin your invited pilots spend, up to 10 times a month.

The Supporters tier has a new reward table. The Active Pilots tier stays the same.

252,700 Cron Stones + 30 Artisan Antimatter5,250 Cron Stones + 50 Artisan Antimatter

Each step adds to the ones before. Qcoin spending counts 14 days after the purchase.

New: Training Grounds

The Training Grounds next to the X-1 base
  • A training annex now sits next to your X-1 base, with its own safe zone, a shop and six training dummies. It opens at level 20.
  • Buy Training Rounds there with credits: 30 minutes for 500,000, 1 hour for 1,000,000 or 3 hours for 3,000,000. Activate them from your inventory. Time adds up, to a maximum of 24 hours.
  • Park next to a dummy and press Use (R). Your ship trains on its own and earns 1.5% of your current level's XP per hour, boosted by the same XP bonuses as kills.
  • Training gives XP only: no honor, credits, drops or mission progress, and it uses no ammo or durability. It stops if you fight, fly away, change map or log out.

New: Daily and weekly missions

The Daily tab in Missions
  • A new Daily tab in Missions: 3 daily missions per pilot, with one free reroll a day, and 2 weekly missions, all matched to your level.
  • They cover PvE, PvP and lifeskills. Honor is the main reward, with some XP, credits and materials in the weeklies.
  • Finish all 3 dailies on 5 days out of 7 to open a streak chest.
  • Dailies reset at 00:00 UTC and weeklies on Monday. Anything completed but not claimed is delivered at the reset.

New: CPU Teleport

CPU Base, CPU Board and CPU Holo combine into the CPU Teleport
  • Three very rare parts: CPU Base from Boss Klin, CPU Board from Boss Klon and CPU Holo from Elite Klon in MEV-5. Drop boosts do not affect them.
  • Put the three together in a row of your inventory (Base, Board, Holo) and combine them into a CPU Teleport. It is bound to your pilot.
  • Use it from the Universe map: pick any map you can reach and channel for 10 seconds without moving or shooting. Damage does not cancel it. You arrive at a random spot, away from portals and bases.
  • 2 uses, then 1 hour to recharge. Dying while channeling costs a use.

Marketplace and storage

  • Buy from anywhere: buying, pre-order purchases and collecting pre-orders no longer need you to be at a base. Adding items for sale is still done at a base.
  • Marketplace storage per base: each of your two bases (X-1 and X-8) has 8 marketplace slots. Nothing you already have there is removed, but a full base takes no new items.
  • The Sell tab shows both storages with their slots, marks the base you are at and tells you where to withdraw items stored at the other one.
  • Locked slots show a + that takes you to the Marketplace Storage upgrades in the Gold Shop. Storage and the inventory now show their real limit the same way.
  • New price view with item info and a two-week price chart. Item cards show the total stock, and buying asks for confirmation (Enter accepts on PC).
  • Pre-orders now fill by price: the highest offer first, at random between equal prices.
  • Selling cargo starts at 1 unit. All sets the whole stack.

Lifeskills

  • Crafting in the LAB now levels Synthesis: recipes, experiments and failed attempts all count.
  • Fabrication is now Processing: Melting, Grinding and Simple synthesis.
  • Your old Fabrication XP moves to Synthesis automatically the first time you log in. Processing starts fresh.
  • The Apprentice and Skilled Fabricator missions are now Apprentice and Skilled Synthesist.
  • Extraction Stim now takes a flat 1 second off each mining cycle (minimum 0.5 s). Stims already active keep their old effect until they run out.
  • New mining bar with a countdown. Pick Line, Ring or Segments in Settings.

Combat and interface

  • Target selector: choose Ring, Chevron or Reticle in Settings. Red means your target or an enemy, white means someone else's target or an ally.
Ring, Chevron and Reticle target selectors
  • Tier 5 items, pets and parts are now red.
  • MEV-5: elites are now an accuracy check instead of a damage wall. Depending on the spot, you need around 410 to 450 accuracy to land 90 to 95% of your shots. Below that you will miss a lot.
  • Home maps (X-1): pilots of the faction that owns the map can attack invaders. Invaders cannot start a fight there, they can only fire back at whoever hit them.
  • Chat: linked items show in [brackets] with their tier color. On PC, Enter opens the chat even with the inventory open.
  • PC: F3 opens and closes the Gold Shop. Window tabs are now centered and grouped.
  • Gold Shop is highlighted in yellow in the menu, and the Guide (Recipes and Drops) has its own spot in the menu. Recipes lists every recipe, LAB ones you have not discovered yet included. Drops shows what each map drops, with the recommended AP and ammo.
  • Pets: reorder your pets with the up and down arrows, and choose to show or hide your pet and other pilots' pets in Settings.
  • Mobile: new setting to show or hide the VIP action slots, and the group header is centered.
  • Bigger item icons in slots, a new E-1 background, new map boxes and new explosions.

Fixes

  • Fixed: on mobile, the active slot did not attack while your ship stood still, and tapping a target could attack on its own.
  • Fixed: copies of Umbros and leftover probes from a previous World Boss could appear in the next one.
  • Fixed: the marketplace info card flickered on hover.
  • Fixed: beacons in the marketplace showed 100/100 durability instead of their real maximum.
