Patch 1.1.5: Halloween, Death Effects and one damage number

Orbit Team

Pilots,

Patch 1.1.5 is live. Halloween lands in Orbit Legacy for two weeks, your damage finally means the same thing against aliens and against other pilots, pets are cheaper to run, and your ship can go down in style with the new Death Effects. Here is everything you should know.

The new Hallow Calendar: 14 login gifts, open for 20 days

Halloween 2026: October 19 to November 2

Two weeks of event content, all of it free to join:

  • Hallow Hordes, a new round-based portal: a purple rift in every X-1 and X-8 map. Solo or with up to 4 pilots, endless rounds of Hallow aliens with a boss every 5 rounds. One free ticket every day from the Daily gift in your Pilot Profile.
  • Hallow Log, 20 pages of event goals with Arcane and Stellar Stones, Antimatter and permanent stats. The Hallow Pass adds a cosmetic reward on every page.
  • Hallow Calendar, a 14-day login calendar with stones, boosters and a Hallow Box on the last day. It stays open for 20 days, until November 8.
  • Pumpkin Beacon, 1,000 pumpkin boxes full of candies, and Captain Marrow, who trades those candies for rewards next to the rift.
  • Hallow Box, a new spin box, plus the Will-o'-Wisp pet, the Pumpkin Iris drone skin and the Pumpkin Burst death effect, all event only.

Hallow Hordes

The rift and Captain Marrow's freighter, The Last Lantern

A purple rift has opened in the middle of every X-1 and X-8 map, with Captain Marrow's freighter parked next to it. Jump in with a Hallow Hordes Ticket and you land in a sealed arena where everyone flies the same ship: your own gear, drones, pet and inventory stay outside and are never at risk. The rounds are endless and each one sends bigger waves of Hallow aliens than the last, with a boss every 5 rounds. Every kill pays Hallow Coins, and you spend them inside on better lasers, shields, drones and repairs, or on the Soul Anvil to enhance that gear round after round. Play solo or in a room of up to 4 pilots, with your friends or with matchmaking. When your ship falls the run ends, you come back to the map with everything you left, plus the candies you earned inside. Your best round goes to the event leaderboards. You get one free ticket every day from the Daily gift in your Pilot Profile, and more from the Hallow Calendar, Captain Marrow and the Gold Shop.

Hallow Log

The Hallow Log on the Logs shelf, with its free and pass rewards
  • The Hallow Log runs for 2 weeks, October 19 to November 2, and has 20 pages: dive into the Hallow Hordes, collect pumpkin boxes and candies, scan haunted wrecks, solve riddles and hunt The Headless Courier.
  • Pages come in order, and pumpkin boxes, candies, kills and your best round count from the start of the event, so nothing you did before a page opened is lost.
  • Logs: new "?" next to the header with every permanent stat you have earned from your Logs.

Free rewards, for every pilot. The big ones are the three milestones:

Hallow Log milestones: +10 lt of cargo on page 5, +1 Fortune on page 10, a +50 Advice on page 20
  • +10 lt of cargo on page 5 and +1 Fortune on page 10 are permanent: they stay on your pilot after the event, like the bonuses of the story Logs. The Fortune is a failstack that never goes away: it shows in the Fortune Enhancement Chance row of the enhancement window and adds +1 to every enhancement you make, even after a fail.
  • A +50 Advice on page 20, worth 50 failstacks on your next enhancement.
  • On the way: 100 Arcane Stones, 15 Stellar Stones and 20 Antimatter spread over the 20 pages, XP and credits on every page, and the Pumpkin Beacon on page 1 with its 1,000 pumpkin boxes.
Stones, Antimatter, Advice and the Pumpkin Beacon

Hallow Pass rewards, on top of the free ones, 1,500 gold in the Gold Shop:

The Hallow Pass and its rewards: 16 Loot Scrolls, a Rare Cron Stone Bundle, Ghost Blast, a Hallow Box and the Pumpkin Iris
  • A Loot Scroll (1h) on 16 of the 20 pages.
  • A Rare Cron Stone Bundle on page 5.
  • The Ghost Blast death effect on page 10.
  • A Hallow Box on page 15.
  • The Pumpkin Iris drone skin on page 20.
  • Buy it late and the pages you already claimed pay out at once.
Inside the book: page 9 claimed, page 10 in progress with its Hallow Pass strip

Pumpkin Beacon

Page 1 of the Hallow Log gives you the Pumpkin Beacon, a Halloween fishing beacon bound to your account. Deploy it like any other beacon and it fishes pumpkin boxes on its own: 1,000 boxes, one per minute, while you are online, so you can keep it running while you farm or trade. Collect the boxes yourself or let your pet do it. Every box drops one reward, almost always a candy, and the candies are what Captain Marrow trades for Arcane and Stellar Stones, Antimatter, Advices, Hallow Hordes tickets, a Rare Cron Stone Bundle and a Hallow Box. The beacon disappears when its boxes run out or when the event ends on November 2; the candies you collected stay.

Drop chances per pumpkin box, the same for everyone:

Reward per boxChance
Ghost Taffy (T1 candy)40%
Witch's Brew Drop (T2 candy)27%
Wraith Mint (T3 candy)15%
Lantern Toffee (T4 candy)8%
Any regular bonus box item8.9%
Blood Moon Drop (T5 candy)1%
Samhain Heart (T6 candy)0.1%

The full guide to every event system, with drop chances and trade limits, is in the Halloween post on this board.

Combat: one damage number

  • Your damage is now the same number against aliens and against pilots. There is no hidden PvE multiplier any more. The per-shot damage in your ship sheet is what lands.
  • Damage scales up with AP: the more AP you stack, the harder each point hits. High-end duels went from about 90 seconds to about 25. Starter fights are almost unchanged.
  • Alien health was rebalanced map by map so that the time to kill with the gear each map expects stays the same. Over-geared pilots clear faster than before; under-geared pilots slower.
  • The ship sheet damage now includes your drone AP.
  • When one of your lasers misses, a grey MISS shows next to the damage number. Shots at a pilot under spawn protection show MISS instead of a damage number.
  • Respawning no longer leaves you without a safe zone at your own portal or base.

Honor

  • If a pilot of your own company attacks you first and you destroy them in return, you lose no honor.
  • The friendly-kill penalty now caps at 3,200 honor, and the streak behind it fades by one level every 24 hours.

Pets: cheaper to run

  • Filling the tank is much cheaper: 1 to 5 fuel for a full tank depending on tier (it was 3 to 45). Tank duration is unchanged, so you still top up every 30 minutes to 2 hours.
  • The Fuel Tank skill (B2) now adds whole fuel units to the tank, +1 to +5 by rank, so a full tank is always a round number.
  • You can refuel with Crude Oil (4 = 1 fuel) or a Power Cell (1 = 1 fuel) straight from the backpack, no refinery needed. Pick FUEL, CRUDE or CELL in the refuel panel.

Economy and drops

  • X-2: Kaya Remnants sell for 55 credits (was 15). Farming X-2 now pays about 2M per hour.
  • Outlaw missions pay 3M, 12M and 60M (were 4M, 18M and 80M).
  • Arcane Stones drop about twice as often in X-3 and X-4, from every alien and boss there.
  • Epic Fracture pieces drop 2.5 times more often in X-8 (Tharkun and its boss) and 4 times more often from the MEV-5 elites.
  • X-7 now spawns 2 Boss Klin per map next to the Imperion anchors, and the in-game Drops guide lists their loot, CPU Teleport Base included.

Missions

  • Daily missions: 3 rerolls per day instead of 1, and you can reroll the same slot more than once.
  • Prospector (daily) asks for 100 to 300 ore by level band (was 300 to 1,200). Industrialist (weekly) asks for 500 to 1,500 ore (was 1,500 to 6,000). Crafts and rewards are unchanged.
  • Inventory Expansion missions: a new section in Missions with 8 short missions, from level 5 to level 45. Finish one to unlock the next. Each gives a little XP and honor plus a +1 Inventory Slot, so you can grow your backpack without the Gold Shop.

Cosmetics and Death Effects

Death Effects: Glitch, Black Hole, Pumpkin Burst and Ghost Blast
  • New Cosmetics button at the top left of your ship in the Inventory. It switches the view between your equipment and your cosmetics: ship skin, drone skin and death effect. Everything stays equipped whichever view you are looking at.
  • New DEATH EFFECT slot: choose how your ship goes down. Every pilot who has you in sight sees it, also inside Hallow Hordes.
  • Three new death effects in the Gold Shop, each with a Preview button: Glitch (your ship freezes, breaks into corrupted pixels and switches off like an old screen), Black Hole (your ship collapses into a black hole that bends the light around it, then snaps shut) and Pumpkin Burst (Hallow only: a carved pumpkin rises from the flames, lights up and bursts).
  • Ghost Blast from the Hallow Pass has a brand new animation: screaming spectral ghosts with long ectoplasm tails burst out of your wreck and fade into mist.
  • Each effect has its own sound. Death effects are bound to your account and cannot be traded or melted.
  • Equip skins and death effects by dragging them from the Gold tab onto their slot, or with a right click (tap on mobile). Right click the slot to remove it.
  • When you die, your death animation plays first and the respawn screen appears once it ends.

Pilot Profile

  • The Pilot Profile now has three sections: Profile, Statistics and Rewards.
  • Statistics: time played, aliens destroyed, enemy pilots destroyed, times destroyed, cargo and bonus boxes collected, ore harvested, items crafted, enhancement attempts, missions, Galaxy Gates and world bosses.
  • Rewards: daily, goal, time and event rewards you can claim from the profile. During Halloween there are event goals for aliens destroyed, bonus boxes collected and PvP kills.

Languages

  • New language: Turkish, available in Settings.
  • Full translation pass in Spanish, French, German, Russian and Turkish: every window, the HUD, menus, headers and messages.
  • Game content is translated too: item and offer descriptions, Gold Shop packs, story and daily missions, Logs, pet skills, the tutorial and server messages. Proper names (gear models, ships, aliens, stones, skins and pets) stay the same in every language.

Mobile and interface

  • Marketplace on mobile: tapping an item's icon or name opens its info card again. Buy still navigates.
  • The Inventory window is back to its intended width, also when opened next to Storage, the Marketplace or Enhancement.
  • In long languages the search box next to the item filters shrinks instead of stretching the window.
  • The maintenance notice in the browser and on iOS now offers Retry instead of a Close button that could not close anything.

General bug fixes and improvements.

See you in the rift.
