Lifeskills & Crafting
Mining, salvaging, fabrication, synthesis, beacons and the lab.
The four lifeskills
Mining harvests ore nodes across the sectors. Salvaging runs beacons, the AFK fishing of space. Fabrication crafts at the factory. Synthesis refines materials up the chain.
Each is a separate track from Beginner 1 to Guru 20, and the ladder is long on purpose: lifeskillers are an economy class, not a side hobby.
- Every 25 mastery: mining harvests faster with better rare procs, salvaging rolls better boxes, fabrication procs extra output.
Beacons
Drop a beacon, let it work, collect the haul. Four models: Drifter, Seeker, Sentinel and Sovereign.
Higher tiers can be enhanced like gear, last longer and pull better loot, including a chance at extra boxes on the top models. Beacons have durability, so they are gear, not consumables.
Materials and synthesis
Seven ores run the economy: Prometium, Endurium, Terbium, Prometid, Duranium, Promerium and the rare Platinum. Raw ore refines two ways at base: ground into industrial dusts (copper, cobalt, tungsten, osmium, iridium and more) or melted and cast into ingots.
Dusts and ingots are what crafting recipes actually consume, so refining is the bridge between miners and crafters, and both trade on the marketplace.
Recipe discovery
Crafting recipes are not listed anywhere. You discover them by combining materials in the lab, and a recipe you found stays known to you.
Discovered recipes are a genuine market edge: while others buy the product, you sell it.
- Keep notes. The lab rewards the methodical.
